1) Definition of piggery jargons 2) Advantages and limiting factors 3) Exotic Breeds 4) choice of piglets, breeders and speculation 5) Hybrid vigour and selection methods: phenotype, progeny and pedigree records 6) Housing and equipment norms 7) Nutrients, types and ingredients of feeds 8) Feeding norms 9) Basic principles of feed formulation 10) Creep feed, grower mash, finisher mash 11) Mastery of swine reproduction 12) Methods of identification 13) Hygiene 14) Annual profit (balance sheet) and economic management 18) Prices and sources of piggery inputs in Cameroon 19) Funding Institutions in Cameroon.
The trainee was granted a Certificate of Attendance as he was quite diligent and assiduous. As is the tradition, he was asked to freely write his observation and evaluation of the course. Here below are the exact words of evaluation written by the trainee at the end:
Mr. Amohlon Frederic; wrote thus: "Course is intensive, explicit and totally rich. Facilitator is patient and full of material. Course has opened up my knowledge about pig farming. Made me see that initially I was blind almost in every aspect! Highly recommend Government to assist this initiative by funding it, advertising it for the benefit of Cameroonians. If many people are able to attend the course, production and productivity will increase; self employment will increase. Though the term "crash" the course is quite elaborate. I do appreciate the facilitator's efforts. If a wider spectrum of announcements for the course is made, I believe many more people will attend".

Here below are extracts of their very important remarks and suggestions:
1) Mr Tatou Philippe wrote "my impressions on this course were very great. I got every detail concept on poultry. I will try in my own way to establish my own farm. I hereby plead for aid from the Government to assist young talented Cameroonians and the teachers who take their time to give out their knowledge to others".
2) Mr. Nwatum John Atanga wrote "This course is primordial for any poultry farmer who wants to remain sustainable. The course organiser should ask for Government assistance to give the course adequate vulgarisation. Colleges of agriculture should adopt the poultry book as their approved textbook. The course facilitator, Mr. Ajua is a very assiduous and informed master".
Both trainees urged us to organise a crash course on pigs which they promised to attend. They were advised to weekly consult our website and newspaper kiosks in Bamenda to get announcements of our future courses.

APPEAL TO WELL-WISHERS FOR AID for us to print 2 Agriculture Manuals

Over a year ago, we have finished writing two manuals on agriculture which is still in manuscript up till today. We are making a fervent appeal to anybody who has a concern for the problem of hunger and food insecurity in the world to send us some money to help us print the two manuals which would be an invaluable tool in our mixed farming campaign (along with our already printed manual on Poultry Production and Marketing).
The manuals in question are:
(1) Concise Practical Agriculture, Volume 1 General Agriculture;
(2) Concise Practical Agriculture, Volume 2 Special Agriculture.
